What is SPoI?
SPoI is the Student Perception of Instruction survey. SPoI is your chance to provide your professors with feedback on your perception of their instruction. You should complete the SPoI for each instructor you have each term.
Why am I asked to complete the SPoI?
Student responses are used by faculty for course improvement. Student feedback is a valuable element to the improvement of Florida Gulf Coast University’s course offerings and to the professional development of our faculty. Faculty find results very useful when designing course structure, syllabi content, and for personal development.
Leave a legacy.
Faculty and future students benefit from your suggestions just as you benefit from the feedback left by students in previous semesters.
Is SPoI anonymous?
Student responses remain anonymous and are available to instructors (only after final grades have been submitted in Gulfline).
Where do I access my surveys?
Through Canvas. Watch for the Canvas SPoI-ler Alert.
We know you are busy, so take your time.
You can take the SPoI right away once you receive the alerts, or return when you are ready. SPoI feedback can be provided up until final exams begin.
Your professors thank you.
